Project
The project concerns the creation of an industrial-port complex in the coastal area south of the city of Kribi. The entire complex (the New Town is one of its components) covers an area of 26,000 ha. The area covered by the study is 2100 ha. The project is expected to host an estimated population of 90,000. It concerns the planning and the development of a New Town with all its components to allow the creation of an urban area to absorb the needs in terms of housing, services and equipment that will be generated by the industrial-port activity.
The project comprises 87.5 km of roads with asphalt concrete surfacing (including 75 km in 2x2 lanes and 12.5 km in 1x1 lane), as well as all the infrastructure needed (electricity, street lighting, gas, telecommunications, drinking water supply, sewage treatment, rainwater drainage).
